On August 3, 2022, Coriolis released a set of 2,986 BGC bottles from the Sismer database.
A bottle is a vertical profile of bio-geo-chemical (BGC) data from a CTD rosette from an oceanographic vessel.
- These observations were made between 1997 and 2021 (see histogram 1) in the Atlantic, Mediterranean and Pacific (see maps 1, 2 and 3).
- They were observed from 9 oceanographic vessels (see table 1).
- They contain 111 distinct parameters, with a majority of chlorophyll, oxygen, silicate, nitrate, phosphate, ammonium, suspended matter, pigments, carbon and isotopes (see table 2).
