Thepreparation phase (2000-2002) is synchronised with
the set up of MERCATOR project. Main activities will be :
set up the data
center,
industrialise
the Provor float,
define the
procedure to transmit data from French research vessels,
define
deployement plans and start first deployement,
scientific
validation of the data.
Demonstration
phase (2003-2005) which correspond to the operational phase ofARGO experiment, will led to operate Coriolis in a
pre-operational mode :
the data center
will be pre-operational
data will be
transmitted routinely from French research vessels
between 50 –
100 floats will be deployed per year
elaboration of
global value added products…
Evaluation phase
(2004-2005) will start in the middle of the demonstration phase. It
will be devoted to the definition of the future sustainable in-situ
system for operational oceanography.
