Identification ================ WMO id number 39018 argos id number 16417 ; we need a list of argos id (up to 4 actually) Orbcom id number n/a AOML id number 30 ; ee think that the WMO identifier which allow only 3 digits to identify an ARGO float within an ocean isn't sufficient enough. We would prefer to add to the metadata an "Argo Number" which will identify a float for the ARGO experiment. This should replace the AOML number. We could agree on interval of numbers for each data center. What do you think about that? ============== Experiment ============== Float provider Bob Molinari Float provider address NOAA,AOML, Miami Originating country USA Float deployer Bob Molinari Float deployer address NOAA, AOML, Miami Experiment_name Pommier1 ;(char*80) Experiment_description Experiment in tropical atlantic ; (char*256) Experiment_geographical_area Tropical Atlantic ;(char*80) =============== Float Description =============== float type PALACE_T2 float manufacturer Webb float serial number 71 ; this field need to be alpha numerical (up to 25 characters) WMO Instrument type (table 1770) 845 WMO Recorder type (table 4770) 60 deployment type: r/v ; possible values for this field :Research Vessel/Aircraft/Motor Vessel or VOS deployment platform: Seward Johnson ; Boat name or radio code CTD station at deployment yes ======================= Lauching and Cycling description ======================= start time dd mm yyyy hh mm (Z) 18 01 2000 01 58 launch time dd mm yyyy hh mm (Z) 18 01 2000 06 02 launch position lat latm lon lonm 2 1.3 -23 -0 first down time hh (+start) 06 nominal drift depth 1000m nominal profile depth 1000m profile up or down or both up down time dd 10 ; if this information represent the duration of the float descent we need to specify an interval [min, max] up time hh 24 ; if this figure represent the duration of the float ascension it's OK for us cycle-duration (10,11) ; a list of cycles duration .
