CORIOLIS GLOBAL DATASET -Release 2007-

Coriolis performs near real-time data distribution on a daily or weekly basis for the modelling needs
With the content of the database Coriolis produces "reference datasets" which have been cleaned using the objective analysis QC and additional visual QC

Organization

Data available in the CORA-GLOBAL-01 directory are ordered in 3 sub-directories:oa, raw et std. These sub-directories relate to the gridded fields (oa), to the raw data and to the data interpolated at standardized levels.

   
    oa : objective analysis (gridded field and auxiliary data)

2 sub-directories: a) field relates to the gridded fields b) data relates to the auxiliary data of the analysis
Under each sub-directory data are sorted in a TEMP directory and in a PSAL directory.

File name : OA_YYYYMMDD.nc.bz2 where YYYYMMDD relates to the date of the objective analysis

One file every 7 days. The date of the first file corresponds to the first wednesday in the year. The date of the last file corresponds to the last wednesday inthe year.

Files are sorted by ocean (atlantic_ocean, indian_ocean, pacific_ocean) then by year, month.

File Name : OA_YYYYMMDD_yyyymmdd_TT.nc.bz2

This file includes raw dataset of the YYYYMMDD. It is created or updated on the yyyymmdd when an analyse has been performed for a period including the dataset of the YYYMMDD.

ie : OA_20020911_20070601_PF.nc.bz2 is the profilers raw dataset from september 11th 2002, date includes in the period where has been processed an analyse in june 06th 2007
 

    std : data interpolated at standardized levels

Files are sorted by ocean (atlantic_ocean, indian_ocean, pacific_ocean) then by year, month.

File Name : OA_YYYYMMDD_yyyymmdd_TT_imm.nc.bz2

This file includes interpolated dataset of the YYYYMMDD. It is created or updated on the yyyymmdd when an analyse has been performed for a period including the dataset of the YYYYMMDD.

TT is the kind of data : XB, PF, BA, TE, MO ou CT.
imm indicates the data are interpolated at standardized levels

ie : OA_20020911_20070601_PF.nc.bz2 is the profilers interpolated dataset from september 11th 2002, date includes in the period where has been processed an analyse in june 06th 2007
