The mission groups Mercator Coriolis (GMMC) assemble scientific teams renewed each year though an announcements of opportunity (common between Coriolis and Mercator sinnce 2003). Its vocation is to support scientific Mercator and Coriolis actiities. It ensure the link between reseach and operational activities.
The Announcements of Opportunity are intended to define and support research work to be conducted for the Mercator and Coriolis projects. Every year, the announcements allow to sponsor about a hundred of scientists, the PI's - Principal Investigators - , in order to contribute to Mercator and Coriolis research activities. PI'S meet every year during the Mercator/Coriolis mission group and present their works usually in October in Toulouse.
