To study the ocean disaster prediction and get a better understanding of ocean exchanges, China SOA set up this Argo project.
It is operated by East China Sea Branch of SOA (http://www.eastsea.gov.cn)and NMDIS is responsible for the data management.
Fifty Argo floats including 30 PROVOR floats and 20 APEX floats are planned to be deployed in Indian and Atlantic Ocean in 2010.
