  Assessment

From January to end of July 2004, the new oceanographic vessel Beautemps-Beaupré, will perform many oceanographic and hydrographic surveys.

During this period Beautemps Beaupré will cruise from Brest to Creta and Suez and then from Suez to the Indian Ocean through the Red Sea. Then she will come back to her home harbour Brest by the end of July 2004.

During these 6 months, many data will be transmitted to the Coriolis Data Centre in near-real time. These data will be quality controlled, archived and disseminated for the needs of the operational oceanography and particularly for the needs of the models SOAP and MERCATOR.
