Some data, routinely recorded on board research vessels,
are transmitted on a daily basis to CORIOLIS data center:

profiles from XBT, |

profiles from XCTD, |
| vertical
profiles from CTD |
| salinity timeseries from
Thermosalinographs |
CORIOLIS
partners, in charge of research vessels, agreed to transmit such
datasets in real-time to CORIOLIS Data Center.
Some
selected merchant ships also transmit their data on the GTS( Global
Telecommunication System). These data are transmitted daily to Coriolis
via Météo-France.
